Follow the Path


Step 1:

Create a new Flash Document, Set the background color to white. Now click on the Oval Tool image 1   create a small circle. Click on the Selection Tool right click on the circle and convert to symbol Graphic. Now click on Insert > Timeline > Motion Guide as shown in the image below. A new layer should come up above your previous layer.

Step 2:

Click on the Motion Guide Layer select Frame 1, Using the Pencil Tool draw a random path as shown in the image below.

Click back to Frame 1 of the layer with the circle, click on the Selection Tool,   and drag the circle onto the line as shown in the image below.

Step 3:

Click on Frame 50 and press F6. Still on frame 50 drag the circle to the opposite side of the line as shown in the image below.

Click on Frame 50 of the Motion Guide Layer and press F6. Now click on frame 1 of the circle layer and Create Motion Tween, repeat this for Frame 50 as shown in the image below. Press enter and it should follow the path you have created.
