Sound is an important component in flash website design. Whereas how fantastic aesthetic and interactive one flash multimedia website could be, it needs appropriate usage of sound to have a great impact and gains first impression from your visitors.
You will learn how to implement sound inside flash application without using flash actionscript in this flash sound tutorial. In fact, this tutorial is an extend version of flash button sound. You may refer back to flash button sound when necessary.
Click on 'play' button to start the flash sound.
Note: You will create a flash sound without usage of button i.e. flash will auto starts the music sound automatically. Before continue, make sure you have one mp3 file standby :) In case, you do not have any sound files, you may download sound file here.
Let's begin our flash sound journey.
1. Open a new flash file with default size i.e. 550 by 400.
2. Now you need to import the mp3 file into our flash library. You do this by File > Import to Library…> browse to select sound file.
3. Make sure you have already imported mp3 file. Open flash library window by pressing F11,and make sure you have the mp3 file you have just imported.
4. Now click on key frame 1 of the timeline.
5. Under flash property inspector, change the Sound dropdown list from 'None' to 'singapore.mp3' (or your mp3 file, if you have selected different sound file)
Finally, you have completed this fantastic tutorial on flash sound. However, there may be a time when you wish to create the flash sound to loop several times. In this case, Macromedia flash mx has incorporated Loop function. To create flash sound loops several times, simply input the number of loops desired into Loop file under flash property inspector.
