Adding a Border

Learn how to add simple solid borders to your photo/drawing/render...

Step 1

Open up a very random image. I chose an image of the gorgeous Kendra Wilkinson.

Step 2

Go to Image>Canvas Size and you'll see these settings;

Step 3

If you want to have a 10px border you should always add the double since you want the same amount on both sides;

Step 4

You'll see the canvas has been enlarged!

Step 5

Now create a layer underneath your composition and fill it with the desired color...
