Bowling Ball

Step 1

This tutorial will teach you how to make a cool bowling ball from scratch. Crate a new document. Any size will work, but i suggest using one about the size I did. I then went to Filter > Render > Clouds. I then went to Filter > Render > Difference clouds. I used the difference clouds filter about 20 times. Do it until you get something similar to this:

Step 2

Now, go to Filter > Distort > Polar coordinates. Tick the radial option (the one that gives a spherical effect) use the elliptical marquee tool to cut ut only the sphere you made:

Step 3

Turn off the visibility of the cloud layers. Now, make a new layer above the rest, and draw a black circle on it. You are going to apply the following layer styles:

Your black circle should now look like this:

Step 4

Turn back on the visibility of the sphere clouds layer. Move it above the ball layer. Scale it down to match the size of the ball. Set it's blending mode to overlay. Play with the opacity until you get what you like. Now the basic bowling ball is done. Make a new layer over the rest, and draw 3 black holes about this size, and in this place:

Step 5

Apply the following layer styles to the black dots:

This part of this step is optional, but help ctrl and clicked the ball layer, then went to my black dots layer, and went Filter > Distort > Spherize, with the maximum amount. This gives the dots a 3d look corresponding with the ball. Here is what you should now have:

Yea, your done. I added some finishing touches to make this bowling style "ad":
