Containing Sphere


Make a new image 600 x 600 black as background. Make a new layer and hit backspace (if the background color is set to white then first press x to set black as background) u should have a black layer now.

Go filter> Render> Lens flare and do as on the screenshot 1. under here and press ok

Then filter> Disort> polar coordinates> polar to rec. Go to the edit menu> Transform> Rotate 180* .

Polar coordinates> and this time rec. to polar. Go to the tool's and choose elliptical marquee and make a perfect circle by setting the menu above the canvas like this screenshot.

Place the circle in the center of the round area. It should loke like the screenshort right under here.

Now u have to cut the circle out. Make the selection inverse by ctrl+shift and hit the key i. Hit backspace and the sphere should be cut out and look like this.

Add color with hue and sat: ctrl+ u. check colorize. I used H= 153 S= 48 and L= -35 .

Now to make the sphere containing something. Find a icon/logo or something (not to big) I used a littel alien i made for my new hardware site. Place it in the middel of the sphere. Dublicate the sphere and put the layer over the layer with the icon in the layers palette. find the right blending for the sphere copy by trying to select alle the blend mode in the dropdown menu in the left side of the layers palette. I would used multiply or pin light. U should be done now. I added som small effect's and some background heres what i got :
