Create a Sun


Step 1: Create a new document, 500 x 500 px, RGB, and white background. Set the foreground colour to #DB5800, #A52300.

Step 2: Go to Filter -> Render -> Difference Clouds. Then Duplicate the layer, and set the duplicated layer's blend mode to overlay. Go to Filter -> Artistic -> Plastic Wrap and set the strength to 15, the Detail to 9, and the Smoothness to 7.

Step 3: Go to Filter -> Render -> Lighting Effects. Use these settings:

Step 4: Then select the outer side of the circle, and fill it with black (on both layers). Don't deselect, and go to Layer -> Merge Visible. Don't deselect.

Step 5:Go to Select -> Modify -> Expand, and enter a value of 3px, then go to Select -> Modify -> Smooth and enter a value of 1px, then go to Select -> Feather and enter a value of 2px. Then while still selected go to Filter -> Blur -> Gaussian Blur, and set a value of 5.
