Start a new document. set it at a size you want to create your monitor. I created a medium sized one, 300x300px.
First thing we do is create the bezel of the monitor, so select the Rounded corner shape tool
from your toolbar, and set it's radius to about 7px. then draw the shape of your monitor. Mine is 256px by 178px.
Apply the following layer style to this shape layer:
Inner Shadow
Bevel and Emboss
Gradient Overlay
Now repeat step 1 to create another shape above the bezel layer, but make this shape a few pixels smaller than the bezel, and set the radius to 3px. This will be your screen layer. Use the same radius setting.
Apply the following layer style to this shape layer:
Inner Shadow
Bevel and Emboss
Gradient Overlay
Now lets create the stand.
Use the rounded corner shape tool again and create a 70x60 shape.
Then apply the following layer styles:
Inner Shadow
Gradient Overlay
Now use the circle shape tool and draw an oval shape under the stand.
Then apply these layer styles
Inner Shadow
Gradient Overlay
Drop Shadow
Now to create buttons on the monitor:
Create a new layer above all the other layers, then use the Pencil tool, with brush size 2px and draw tiny horizontal lines on the bezel.
We're done!
