Curving a Pattern

1. Create a new 300x 300 pixel document with a resolution of 100 and name it Curves. Now press D and fill the document (with Black). Show channels and create a new channel. Press X then use the rectangular marquee tool and make selections similar to mine on the right. Then fill them with white. Now deselect.

2. Next apply a gaussion blur with settings [Amount: 10]. Then adjust levels with THESE SETTINGS.

3. Now load the selection from the 'alpha' layer and then show layers. Create a new layer and fill the selection with a color of your choice. There you have it, a Blocky pattern to a curvey one. This can be useful for making interface edges flow smoothly.
