Green Gel


We'll begin this tutorial, by creating a new canvas at a size of 350 x 174 then select the "Elipse Tool". Draw a circle as illustrated using 3e4a0c as the circle color and 202122 as the background color. Name the circle layer "Circle Base".

Now right click the "Circle Base" layer in the layers palette and select, "Blending Options...". Now click on "Inner Shadow ".

Do not click "OK" as of yet. Still more to do.

Now click on "Gradient Overlay".

You may click OK after the below colors have been used.

You should now have the below image.

Using the "Elipse Tool" once again draw a circle this time using 3e4a0c as the color. Name this layer "Gradient Circle".

Now right click the "Gradient Circle" layer in the layers palette and select, "Blending Options...".

Do not click "OK" as of yet. Still more to do.

Now click on "Gradient Overlay".

You may now click OK.

You should now have the below image.

Next, create another layer and select the "Brush Tool" with bee928 as the color while using the below settings.

Click one time toward the middle of the circle shape (but on the new layer) as illustrated below. Name this new layer "Highlight".

Using the "Elipse Tool" once again draw a circle this time using 3e4a0c as the color. Name this layer "Inner Shadow".

Now right click the "Inner Shadow" layer in the layers palette and select, "Blending Options...".

Do not click "OK" as of yet. Still more to do.

Now click on "Inner Glow".

You may now click OK.

You should now have the below image.

Now "Ctrl" click the "Inner Shadow" layer to create a selection around it. Then, while holding the "Alt" key in on the keyboard, draw a circular selection with the "Eliptical Marquee Tool" to rid the below section of the selection as illustrated below. Next, create a new layer and go to the main menu and select "Edit" then "Fill" and fill with white. Turn the Fill down to 16% and deselect the selection.

Next, create yet another selection using the "Eliptical Marquee Tool". The rid the center of the selection by holding the "Alt" key in on the keyboard and drawing another circlular selection on the inside. Create a new layer (name it "Rim") and fill with 212223.

Now right click the "Rim" layer in the layers palette and select, "Blending Options...". Now click on "Drop Shadow".

Do not click "OK" as of yet. Still more to do.

Now click on "Inner Glow".

Now click on "Bevel and Emboss".

Now click on "Color Overlay".

You should now have the below image.

Next, select the "Custom Shape Tool" and select the "Dog Print" shape found in the drop down in the option palette. Make sure the Foreground color is 3c3636 and draw your shape. Name this layer "Print".

Now right click the "Print" layer in the layers palette and select, "Blending Options...". Now click on "Drop Shadow".

Do not click "OK" as of yet. Still more to do.

Now click on "Inner Glow".

Now click on "Bevel and Emboss".

Now click on "Color Overlay".

The Results!!!

I've added some gloss to the icon/button but otherwise this tutorial is done. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
