In this tutorial I will teach you how to make a Cola Lid or any other bottle cap which has contours with the help of Photoshop Tools and technique. In this tutorial I have used Elliptical Marquee Tool, Lasso Tool, Gradient Tool, and other Effects.So let's get started.
1. First of all we have to open a new document. Here I have use 300px by 300px for the background, you may choose any color.
Now with Elliptical Marquee Tool draw a circle and then with the Lasso Tool draw another shape on the circle as you can see in the image below.
2. Now with the help of Pain bucket Tool fill the color #756F6F in the shape that you just draw.
3. Now Double click on the Layer1 and give some Effect. See below and apply the selection I have made as you can see below.
4. After applying all the Effects, your lid will look like this.
5. Now with the Elliptical Marquee Tool draw a new circle > Right click on the new circle > click on Feather > Click ok at5px Feather. Now in this selection fill the color #766F6F with Paint Bucket Tool.
6. Now again with the Elliptical Marquee Tool draw a new circle, and in the new circle fill the color #8A8484 with the Pain Bucket Tool.
7. Now here Double click on the Layer > click on Stroke > Stroke color #676666.
8. Now with the Horizontal Type Tool You can write any Text on the lid.
9. Now while pressing ctrl click on the lid Layer with the mouse.Now you make the selection.
10. Now in the Text selection with the Gradient Tool fill color#010101, #F4F3F8. As shown below.
9. Here Double click on the Layer in which you just fill the color with the Gradient Tool and give some Effects as you can see below.
10. Now select the Brush tool, you can choose any size of Brush, and with color #766F6F, try to make liquid splash.
11. Now here again select the Brush tool, you can choose any size of Brush, and with color #9D9595, give some more shade to the splash.
12. Now again with the Brush Tool you can choose any size of Brush and with color #EFE5E5, give more Effect to the splash, As you can see in the image below.
