Learn to Twist, Turn a Custom Shape


Let's learn how to give some Cool Effects to any shape. I am going to use custom shape tool and pick hands and then twist, distort to try something new in this photoshop tutorial. In this tutorial I have used stuff like Pen Tool, Shape Tool. I have used filters and Different brush strokes like spatter and Ink Outlines and other effects.

1. First of all open a New Document. Here I Have used 300px by 300px. Now with the shape Tool select any shape and create it. Here I have used hand shape but you may use any shape and play with the photoshop techniques that I have demonstrated below.

2. Now with Pen Tool Right click on the shape > Make Selection > click ok at 0.2px, as you can see below.

3. Select Gradient Tool > fill color # C7883B, #F3C287, #C7883B, with Gradient Tool.

Filter > Brush Strokes > Spatter par click karte hain > ab Palette Knife par ( Stroke size- 25, Stroke Detail- 3, Softness- 0 ) par ok karte hain.as shown below.

4. Now go to Filter > Brush Stroke > and select spatter . click ok on Palette Knife and the following selection.

Stroke size - 25

Stroke Detail- 3

Softness- 0

5. Again go to Filter > Distort > Polar Coordinates > click ok at Rectangular to Polar.

6. Now make a copy of the Layer, and set it at the place as you can see below.

7. Now go to the Layer > click ok Merge down.

8. Here go to the Filter > Distort > Polar Coordinates > click ok at Rectangular to Polar. Now go to Edit > click Free Transform, and with the help of mouse make the shape bigger. As shown below.

9. Now make a copy of Layer1.

10. Now go to Filter > Render > Click on Lighting Effects and give Effects as shown.

11. Now again go to Filter > Brush Stroke > click on Ink Outlines > in Ink Outlines click ok at ( Stroke Length- 29, Dark Intensity- 6, Light intensity- 4 ).

Now go to Edit > click on Free Transform and with the help of mouse make it small.

12. Now make a copy of the Layer, and go to Edit > click on Free Transform and with the help of mouse make it smaller.

Put it on the places as shown below.

13. Now again you have to make a copy of the Layer and put it on the place as shown below.

14. Again make a copy of the Layer and put on the place as shown below.

15. Now again make a copy of the layer make it little bigger and put it in the middle.

16. Now here select a New Layer and fill it with the color and click on the darken Option.
