Orb Design

Step 1:

Let's start out by creating a new file. I used a 600x400 pixels canvas set at 72dpi, and I filled my background with white color shade. Now make a new layer then draw a circle with #4E8990 color shade and 123 px 123 px dimensions.

Step 2:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Shadow, Inner Glow and Gradient Overlay blending options to your circle layer.

Step 3:

In a new layer draw a black circle with 77 px 77 px dimensions on the center of your orb design.

Step 4:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Shadow and Stroke blending options to your black circle layer. Then set the layer's blending mode to Soft Light.

Step 5:

In a new layer draw another black circle with 109 px 109 px dimensions on the center of your orb design.

Step 6:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Shadow and Stroke blending options to your second black circle layer. Then set the layer's blending mode to Lighten.

Step 7:

Select the Horizontal Type Tool then set the font family to Wingdings, 84 pt, smooth and black color shade. In a new text layer type ">" which should be a biohazard logo, place it on the center of the orb design.

Step 8:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Drop Shadow, Inner Glow, Satin and Gradient Overlay blending options to your logo text layer.

Step 9:

Add some shadows.
