Shiny Orange Button

1. Create a new document (72*25) and fill the background with #FFFFFF using the paint bucket tool.

2. Select a square size shape of 75*25 pixels with your rectangular marquee tool and fill this shape with any color you like on a new layer using the paint bucket tool so you end up with this in the second step (basically we now have 2 different colored layers on top of each other).

3. The next step is to adjust the blending options on this layer.

4. The next step is to select (use your rectangular marquee tool) the top half of the button and fill it with (#FFFFFF) white on a new layer and change the layer opacity to 30%…

5. Now type out some white (#FFFFFF) text (I used Tahoma) and change the blending mode on this layer to overlay so you end up with this nice and shiny button (note that these images are stretched and therefore have a bad quality, you might want to click on them to view them in a better quality).
