I made a tea bag for a battle and I thought it might be a good ide to make a tutorial out of it. Is it useful? I don't know, that's up to you to deside but I think you can use some of the effect for other things as well.

Teabag Tutorial: Final Result

1. I started with a new canvas, 300x300 pixels.

Then I added some guides:
4 vertically: 150px, 165px, 235px and 250px
2 horizontally: 40px and 260px

Add a new layer and drag a rectangular in the middle with the Rectangular Marquee Tool (T). Use the Paint Bucket Tool (B) and add a light color of any choice.

2. Add a new layer and call it ends.

Make a new rectangular between the two first guids. Hold down Shift and make another rectangular between the two last guids. Fill it with white. Deselect.

3. Go to Filter > Noise > Add Noise and set the Amount to 5%, chech for Uniform and Monochromatic.

Add a new layer and make sure Black is your Foreground Color.

Select the Line Tool (U) and set the Weight to 2 px

Make two lines on each side of the bag.

4. Add another layer on top of the others and select the Brush Tool (B). Set the brush size to 4. Go to the Brushes Menu and choose Brush Tip Shape. Set the Spacing to 140%

image 6

Draw a stright line on the left side of the bag (use a medium gray, #666666). Hold down Alt while drawing to get a stright line. Now we want to tranform the line. Go to Edit > Free Transform and move the handle in the middle to the left about 50% - 60%.

5. Now we want to add some Layer styles to make it more realistic. Double click on the layer with the dotted line and choose Bevel and Emboss. Set the Direction to Down and the Size to 1. Click Ok

Lower the Opacity to about 40%. Dublicate the layer and move the new layer to the other side. Merge the two layers together and call it dotted.

6. Now we want to add some "baggy effect" to the main shape. Ctrl + Click on the first layer (with the main shape). Go to Channels and Click on Create New Channel. Select the Brush Tool (B) and choose a large soft brush (100) and draw a line in the middle.

Go to Filter > Blure > Gaussian Blur and set the Radius to about 20 pixels.

7. While the main shape is still selected, copy it (Ctrl + C) and go to File > New and click Ok (do not change the size). Click Ctrl + V to paste the copied channel. Save the new file and call it map.psd

Go back to the tea bag and to the layers pallett. Select layer 1 again. Now go to Filter > Disort > Displace.. and enter these settings:

Then select map.psd and deselect.

8. Go to Filter > Render > Lighting Effect
