Transparent Glass

Ever had a photo or something see through? and you want to put it onto another background... but another background is already there? Here you GO!

1. Open your image, and click Layer > New > Background from layer to unlock it

image 1

2. Use the cutting tutorial or another way you know of cutting out images. you will use this to cut out your image

image 2

3. Place a new background, and move it to the bottom layer. (i just made one my self... which is kinda crap.. but you get the idea )

image 3

4. Click back on the layer with your image on, and on the layers palate, click the button "Add layer mask"

5. With the paintbrush tool, click the tab "brushes" and put it to a nice size dependant on your image. set the hardness (by clicking brush tip shape) to something soft like 10. But still. before you move on, make sure the brush opacity is on about 25%, which can be found at the top on the main task bar. and press D to reset your colour's.

6. Take nice straight strokes going with the shape of your object, all over, which you will see will cut away bits of your image. but keep going, changing your brush size and don't cut too much away. it may take you a few minutes to make it look peak! Try to think which bits would be see through if you were actually looking at it

7. Now duplicate this layer by clicking Layer > duplicate layer (and name it anything) but switch back to the one underneath.

8. Now, Edit > Transform > Scew - and try to put it in different directions, this i think is the hardest part, as you could have a million places it could go! take a look at mine for a little help

9. Now, Image > Adjustments > Hue/saturation - and drag the saturation bar all the way to the left!

10. Set the blending options to multiply
