Web 2.0 button is very important to give better look and to make web visitor enjoying when browse the site.
At this time, I want to share how to make web 2.0 button basic.
1. Create new document, 150 x 50px. And create new layer, above background layer.
2. Create button shape with Rounded Rectangle Tool from the toolbox.
3. Right click in the active area and then choose fill path, I choose orange color #ff8400.
4. Add text and add new layer above, this layer is for highlight.
5. Make selection ofyour button layer with Ctrl + click to your layer thumbnail (click image for the detail). Then go to Select (on the menu) - Modify - Contract, fill it 3 pixel. This step is for make the selection 3px smaller than before.
Then go to Gradient Tool, choose Foreground to Transparent, white color. Drag from the bottom to top selection.
6. Create new layer, and choose Elliptical Marquee Tool, with intersect mode. Drag between the selection and fill with Gradient Tool with the same setting in step 5.
Hide the background layer and save in GIF format.
