Vector Simplicity #2


This is part 2 of your favorite vector silhouttes...

1. Open up an image of a random person holding something;

2. I have chosen Mace Windu from the awsome movie STARWARS Revenge of the Sith;

3. Then outline your character like you did in the previous tutorial and fill it with black;

4. Outline the object the person is holding and give it a white color;

5. I used a Lightsaber, so follow my Lightsaber-Tutorial;

6. Add a medium grey background or just a random grey gradient;

7. Now comes the hard part;

8. Outline the bodypart that is covering the body and holding the item, but isn't being shown on the previous images because it was the same color;

9. Take that object, make it white and then you notice you have 2 layers wich are actually the same body;

10. Take a grey brush and brush ON A NEW LAYER BETWEEN the arm and body some medium strokes;

11. Then, press CTRL+I on the bodypart and it will fit like a glove;

The grey makes the arm point out and makes it look like there IS an arm instead not in many vectors...
