Set the backround to be a black,

Now create some text on a new layer make it white.

I used psd-fx.com and i used acknowledge for my font.

Now go to your layer blending options on stroke.

I used a light grey stroke (C0C0C0) on size 4px.

image 2

Now create new layer and select your gradient tool and create a gradient like the one below

image 3

Draw gradient diagonally like so.

image 4

Now right click on this layer in the layers pallet and go to duplicate layer.

On the destination select new from the drop down box, and hit ok. Now leave this new document for now.

image 5

Go back to the original document and delete the layer with the gradient on it.

And crop round the text to the size of the graphic you require.

image 6

Now go back the document we created though theduplicate layers command and holding shift, drag the layer from the layers pallet back onto the document with the text on.

Now you can close the document that just has the gradient layer in, there is no need to save it.

Now select the layer with the gradient in and make sure its above your text layer then press ctrl+g (to set there layer to have clipping mask)

Now what you should see is that your gradient layer only shows through where your text is.

image 9

Now press ctrl+shift+m to load up Image Ready.

Now add a new frame, click on the small arrow on the very edge of the animation tool bar.

image 10

Now select the layer with the gradient on and move the image downwards. You should notice that it looks as if the gradient s going across the text. continue untill its gone right over the text and is off the other side.

image 11

Click on the small arrow(like you did to add the frame) but select Tween

Set it to 10 frames and hit ok.

Now it should off added the 10 frames.

Hit the play button to test your animation if you like. Or just go straight to File>Save as for web and you are finished.
