Speed Capture

Freeze a picture thats going at speed!

1. Open your background, we just used a forest dropout i found on google

image 1

2. Duplicate this layer and click Filter > Blur > Motion blur. you want the angle at 0 and the distance to about 100

3. Now on the layers palate, put the opacity down to 90

image 2

4. Put in the object you would like to be moving, but cut it out (maybe try and use the cutting tutorial).

image 3

5. You should now be on the layer which your object is on... it should be alone. So, duplicate this layer

6. Then, go back to the previous layer (the one you made a copy of) bu just just clicking on it on your layers palate

image 4

7. Click Filter > Blur > Motion blur. With the settings still on 0, you only have to change the amount which should now be 150

image 5

8. with the marquee tool, delete the front part of the object (only delete as much as you have to)

9. OK. now, switch back to your top layer (the duplicate layer) and click the "Add layer mask" button on the layers palate

image 6

10. Now, grab your paintbrush tool, set the size to about 90, the hardness to 0% and the opacity to about 80% (this can be done through the brushed tab) Make sure your foreground is set to black. paint over the right hand side of the object - you will see its like an eraser.
