1. Create a new document in adobe photoshop (500 pixels wide and 500 pixels high) This is to make sure that we don't have any problems moving the text about to enhance the look and style.
2. Now Select the text tool and write your name or site name i have chosen to write Tuts4you.net you might want to write more than this. This is one of the reasons of making the Document this size.
3. Now choose the color that your going to use for your 3D Text effect.
4. Now goto layer - Layer style and the blending and inner shadow settings are shown below. let me remind you. can always change the settings and play about.
5. Now you should be able to move the text layer about and press while selecting the layer press "ALT+UP" for about 5 times and then press "ALT+RIGHT" For about the same amount of times this will add the fill and style of the 3D depth and height This also create copies of the first layer that would be the text layer cause it was selected by you.
6. Now you should be able to see all the new layers you created while pressing "ALT+UP" and "ALT+RIGHT" you can now make these all into 1 Layer by following this step. Layer and go all the way down to the bottom and click on Merge Linked and your done.
