Create a Crazy Text Effect using Layer Styles

1. Select the Text Tool.

2. Choose the font style, size and color of your text. A nice thick font will work better, Type your text.

3. Select the Text Layer and right click on it.

4. From the menu select Create Work Path.

5. Turn off the Layer Visibility, note the the path is visible, now we can start editing.

6. Select The Path Selection Tool.

7. Click on the first letter to select it, hit CTRL+T and right click on it.

8. From the menu select Distort and start to distort and customizing your text to whatever you like.

9. Continue with distorting and transforming  your text until you come up with a interesting design.

10. Click on the Path's Tab.

11. Select Path 1.

12. Click the Load Path Selection Button.

13. Click the Layers Tab.

14. Click on The Create New Layer Button, also select the layer.

15. Set the Foreground Color to whatever you like in our case we choose #ff8400.

16. With the selection still active and the layer still selected hit ALT+Backspace to fill the selection with the foreground color.

17. Double click on the Layer Thumbnail to show the Layer Styles.

18. Select Stroke.

19. Enter 25px for the size.

20. Click and select a color you like for the stroke or enter this  #df00ff if you like to follow us.

21. Click OK.

22. With Layer one still selected hit CTRL+J to make a copy of the layer.

23. Double click on the New Layer Thumbnail to show the Layer Styles.

24. In the Stroke option chosse a white color.

25. Set the size to 12px.

26. Click Ok.

27. Hold Down the CTRL Key and right click on the fx icon.

28. Click on the Create Layer, now the style is separated and it has it's own layer. Repeat this step for the other remaining layer.

29. Turn off the Layer Visibility.

30. Double click on the New Layer Thumbnail to show the Layer Styles.

31. Select Bevel and Embos.

32. Enter 205% for the depth.

33. Enter 33px for the size.

34. Turn Off Use Global Light.

35. Enter 135 for the angle also make sure the Altitude is set to 74.

36. Click on Gradient Overlay.

37. Select Overlay.

38. Make sure you have selected a black and white gradient and click OK.

39. Double click on the white stroke layer Thumbnail to show the Layer Styles.

40. Click on Drop shadow.

41. Set the distance to 3px.

42. Set the size to 3px.

43. Click on Bevel And Emboss.
