Double Stroke


It's easy to give your text or image a stroke and give it an outline. But what if you want a double outline and give your stroke some space so that it isn't hugging your text? Here, we are going to give your stroke a nice padded double outline effect.

1. Size of image and resolution for this tutorial depend on your choices, say around 200x200.

2. Let's start out by selecting the foreground color that you want for your text. Next, select your Horizontal Type Tool (T). Select the size and font that you want. Click on the image and type in your text.

3. Go to Layer>Layer Style>Stroke. Use the following settings:



4. Before you exit the Stroke settings box, double click on the gradient and set it to look like this:
