Ghost Blur


1. Start by creating a new document, let's say 400 x 150.

2. Get the 'Paint Bucket Tool' and make the Background all Black.

3. Get out the 'Text Tool' and type out, say your Username/Screename.

4. Change the color of this Text to White.

5. Duplicate it twice buy pressing 'CTRL + J.'

6. Rasterize both of the Copied text layers.

7. Select one of the Copied (Rasterized) text layers and go to:

Filter > Blur > Motion Blur
Angle: 0
Distance: 4 Pixels

8. Select the other Copied Text layer and go to:

Filter > Motion Blur (Right at the Top of the Filter List) or CTRL + F

9. Move one of the layers slightly to the left and the other to the right.

10. Now you have a very basic Ghost-like effect for your text.
