Golden Text


This tutorial will teach you how to make golden text, as shown below.

1. Make a new document, and fill the background with black. Choose a font, and type your text in white.

2. Add some text effects to it, by pressing the 'Layer Styles' button ( ) and select Bevel and Emboss.

3. Add the following settings to each section.

Bevel and Emboss

Style: Stroke Emboss
Technique: Smooth
Depth: 1%
Direction: Up
Size: 0px
Soften: 0px

Gradient Overlay

Blend Mode: Normal
Opacity: 100%
Gradient: #C08507 to #612E01
Style: Linear
Align with layer: yes
Angle: -5
Scale: 100%

Stroke

Size: 2px
Position: Outside
Blend Mode: Normal
Opacity: 100%
Fill Type: Gradient
Gradient: #C08507 to #612E01
Style: Linear
Angle: 94%
Scale: 100%

4. Create a new layer, and fill it with black. Set the layer style to 'Lighten'. Now press Filter > Render > Lens Flare and position it where ever you want it to be.
