Icey Text


1. Open a new document off 500x200 pixels

2. Set your colors to default by pressing ctrl+d

3. go to Filter> Render> Clouds

4. Type your text (I used Times new Roman on bold) it now should look like this:

5. hide the text layer and hold ctrl and press the text layer

6. now you should have to see a selection. Grab the selection tool and rightclick in the selection and select feather. put it on 2 and set your foreground color to #747474

7. now be sure the first layer is on and go to filter> Render> Clouds and ctrl+f 2 times after that it now should look like this:

8. Now go to image> Rotate canvas> 90 cw

9. now go to Filter > Stylize > Wind

Method: Wind
Direction: From the right

and ctrl+ f like 4 or 5 times

10. go to Image> Rotate canvas> 90 ccw it now should look like this:

11. now go to Filter> Sharpen> Unsharp Mask . with these settings

12. now go to Filter > Sharpen > Sharpen ctrl+f 2 times or just how you want it

It now should look like this:

13. Now press CTRL+B to color balance with these settings (or do it easyer by pressing ctrl+u for hue and saturation)

After that it should look like this:
