ndustrial Text Effect Tutorial: Final Result

1. Background & Text

First start by making a new document, I used 400x240.

Fill the background with a nice, grunge texture. I use this texture that I made.

Now get the Text Tool image 3 and write out your text in the middle of the document (I used #404040, and Impact as the font.)

2. Layer styles

Right click your text layer and click Blending Options... apply the following Layer Styles:

Now just by applying ALL of those Layer Styles, you get a cool looking text effect like this:

1. Final Touches

I added a bit of grunge brushing, then I duplicated the whole thing into one layer and applied Filter > Render > Lighting Effects.
