Matrix Text Effect


Step One

First of all you will need to download the Matrix font if you want the real matrix text effect. Otherwise, you can try this tutorial on any other text except it won't looks like real matrix text but you will have the matrix text effect anyway. Now it's your choice. Download the font from here

Step Two

Open up an new document and fill it with black color.

Step Three

Choose the font "Miltown" if you have downloaded the font above or choose any font and type whatever you wish using the color #00FF00. Note, you must use CAPS lock if you are using the font Miltown.

Step Four

Right click on the text layer and click Duplicate Layer and name it to layer2 and hide it.

Step Five

Now go back to the text layer and go to Filter>Blur>Motion Blur and use the setting below:

Step Six

Unhide the layer2 and change the font color to white (#FFFFFF). You should come like something below:
