Out of Control Text


Introduction

In this tutorial we will attempt to create lighting in a few very simple steps.

Step 1

Open a new document that is 300x100 pixels, RGB, on a white background. Create a new layer, and type whatever you want

Step 2

Copy your text layer, and Rasterize it by right clicking on the layer, in the layers pallete, and clicking Resasterize. Then put the DUPLICATED layer, behind the regular text layer.

Step 3

Now, on the Rasterized layer, go to Filter>Blur>Motion blur, and play make your angle 0, and the pixel setting to 30

Now, if you did everything correctly, you should have some out-of-sync text!

Extra Step

If you find that your text is difficult to read, lower the opacity of the rasterized layer.
