Soft Plastic Text

Hi and welcome to another tutorial! Let's get started, shall we?

Start with a new document! I used a 250x500 pixels document with #373737 as the background color.

Grab the text tool and write your text. Choose "Arial" as your font and "60pt" as your font-size!

Now right click the text layer and choose "Rasterize layer". This changes your text into an image.

When that's done, again right click your layer and choose "Duplicate layer" (or just press Ctrl+J on your keyboard!). You've now successfully copied your layer!

image 3

With your original layer selected, go to: "Filters > Blur > Gaussian blur". Use a radius of 2.0 pixels:

Your text will now look like this:

Looks cool already huh? Ok now select the newest layer and go to: "Layer > Merge Down" (or press Ctrl + e on your keyboard!). This merges your layer together!

Almost done! Just apply the following Blending Options (Right click layer > Blending Options)

And we're done!! Click the image below to view my final result! Thanks for watching and till next time!
