Solar Wind Text Effect

1. Create a new 165x165 pixel document and name it Solar Wind. Now press D then X and fill the document (with Black). Create a new layer, then, create a horizontal type mask, press X and then fill (with black).

2. Now with the text xelection still active, add noise with settings [Amount: 300%, Distribution: Gaussion, and Monochromatic Checked].

3. Now deselect the text selection, then add a radial blur with settings [Amount: 40-50, Blur Method: Zoom, Quality: Good]. Now repeat the radial blur once again so it was applied twice.

4. Now your picture is done. You can add some color by creating a new layer. Then fill it with a color of your choice. Then change the blending mode to 'color'. Or just click on your layer containing the text, and adjust the Hue/Saturation [make sure the colorize box is checked]. As well, you can make your background black, as long as the text is colored, you should be able to see it on the black background.
