Text Effects: 3D Magnetic


Step 1

First chose some font. We chose Handel. Hi's good because have strong and straight shape.

But we gona make him much better and faster.

First rasterize text layer. Go to layer style and find Rasterize>Layer.

Then with Skew transformatoin move in left side.

Now we gona cut some parts. Do like in next steps. U can use Magnetic lass ofor straight lines or Pen Tool.

When u finish with giving final shape of layer, duplicate him and put him behind.

Give stroke like in picture. Use color you want.

Now open new set and put duplicated layer inside. Then go to Layer>Merge Layer Set.

Go back to first layer and give Gradient Overlay. Use 4 grade of nice sky blue color.

Then gibe Bevel and Emboss like in picture. Use some dark blue color, almost black.

Color duplicated second layer to some lite gray.

Ok. when finish with coloring, open new set. Put both layers in set and merge layer set. Go to transformation and use Perspective transformation.

Then free transformation like in picture.

Duplicate new layer, and with tranformation tool give position like in picture. Looking in gaudlines you can see how it must be.

Clear all layer styles from this layer and color in black with brush.

Just give selection to layer and use brush tool.

Then with Pen Toll draw missing part's, and with that we gona visually line up both layers.

Open new layer. You can named him shadows. With pen tool draw new shape folowing line of blue area. When you give selection use select inverse option.

Then start giving the shadows. First give black shadows. Use just brush tool.

You can experimentize with opacity of brush color.

Then give white shadows. But use some light gray color. Freely draw shadows.

Ok. Now we have surplus of shadows.

To release from this surplus do next.

Give selection to first layer. Go to Inverse slection. You can see in picture.

Then select shadow layer and press delete.

Ok. Now we are giving shadows to second layer.

Give him selection and folowing lines like in picture draw with brush.

Use various intesity of light gray color.

Now open new layer and draw rounded shape. Color him in black.

In Filter>Blur give Gaussian Blur

with skew transformation give some perspective.

For backround lightin use Gradient tool. Select Foregraund to Transparen with gray color.

Then in Filter>Renden give some Lighting Effects.

For magnetic field we gona do next.

Open new layer and with gray and sky blue colors use option Reflected Gradient from Gradient Tool.

Go with mouse from up to dawn of layer.

In Filter>Blur use Motion Blur.

Then resize opacity to make larey transparent. About to 30 %

Duplicate layer for several time around the shadow.

Put them in one set and merge set.

Give selection to first layer like in picture, go back to last layer and press delete.
