Let's create a Leaves Background image which may be used in your next web design or Template project.
1. First of all open a new document. Here I have used document size width = 300 pixels by height = 300 and resolution = 96 pixel/inch.
2. Now look at your right, you will see the layer window. Here in the Layer window create a new Layer by clicking on the icon which is encircled with Red. This layer will be named as Layer1 by default.
3. Now to fill the layer with the color code # D2522B, go to the toolbar and click on the 2 square shape icon which is used for set foreground color. Enter the code D2522B in the field marked as # in the color picker and press ok. This is how you choose the color, now to fill the layer press Alt+ Backspace.
4. Now click on Brush Tool from the toolbar, you will see Brush etc on top. Click on the icons as shown with 1 then click on the icon as shown with 2.
5. After that you will lots of brushes. Choose "Special Effect Brush" as you can see in the Image below.
6. Here click on the Brush 84 which is falling Ivy leaves and slide Master Diameters that the value is 35. After that click on Layer 1. Before you can draw the leaves you will need to choose the foreground color as white. To choose foreground color click on the 2 square shape icon below hand icon on the toolbar. Choose different Master diameter to draw leaves with different sizes.
7. As explained in step 6, use the Brush and work as shown below. You can set different foreground color and set different sizes.
8. Now select the Brush35 hard round, just follow the steps from 4 to 6. Work with this brush and add more shapes see below.
9. Here again repeat step no 4 through step 6 and this time select "Assorted brushes" and Brush # 32. With the help of this brush make some more shape. See below.
10. Again as explained in step 4 to 6 use more brushes and use them to make your background more fancy.
11. Now if you want you can change the color of some of the leaves by clicking on the set foreground color icon which looks like 2 squares below hand icon on the toolbar. And this is all I have in this photoshop tutorial for you.
