Custom Brushes


Learn to create custom brushes in Adobe Photoshop using this tutorial.

Adobe Photoshop let's us to define our own custom brushes. Let's see how to create our own custom brushes.

Step 1: Start a new document of size 50x50 pixels with a transparent background. Draw a circle using the Ellipse Tool (U). Holding shift while drawing the Ellipse will result in a perfect circle.

Step 2: Now select the Rectangular marquee tool and draw a vertical section over the circle like this.

and press the delete button. Simply draw a horizontal selection over the circle and press the delete button. This is what I got after doing that.

We have now created our brush. Now we need to define it as a button.

Step 3: Now go to Edit>Define Brush Preset and give it a new name.

Now our brush is saved. Now we can select the brush from other set of brush.

Use your brush and have fun. You can also use text as your brush too.
