1. Create a new 165x165 pixel document and name it Stars. Now press D then X, and fill the document with white. Then add a difference clouds filter the document. Then add a craquelure filter with settings [Crack Spacing: 4, Crack Depth: 10, Crack Brightness: 10].
2. Now adjust the Brightness and Contrast,with settings [Brightness: 90-100, Contrast: 0]. There you have some easy stars for a planetary or galaxy type picture. I just made a new layer, put a coulds filter on, lowered the opacity and erased parts to get the blue haze over the stars.
