Glass Icon


We'll begin this tutorial, by creating a shape. I chose part of a recycle symbol or logo. Anything will do.

After you have created your new object select the object by hitting the Ctrl key (Cmd+click on Mac) and clicking on the object layer in the "Layers Palette. Create a new layer and go to "Edit" then "Stroke" with stroke of 3, color white.

Deselect (Ctrl+"D" win or Cmd+"D" mac) Now you can right click on the symbol layer and select, "Blending Options...". Go ahead and click on "Color Overlay."

Click "OK"

Now you can right click on the symbol layer and select, "Blending Options...". Go ahead and click on "Drop Shadow."

Do not click OK yet... still more to do.

Now click on "Bevel and Emboss".

Do not click OK yet... still more to do

Go ahead and adjust the graph so it is the same as mine.

Click OK.

Now click on "Color Overlay".

You may now click "OK".

The below are results showing 3 different colors that were used. for the Logo. I did some text examples as well.
