Here you will be taught how to make something similiar to my splash and web page.

1) Open a new file, around 600 x 480pixels, with any background color. I used black.

2) Make a white square on a seperate layer. And using the polygonal lasso tool,

image 1 cut the square up. Heres what mine looks like.

3) Now take any picture you have. Goto FILTER > BLUR > MOTION BLUR set the angle to 0 and the distance to 999.

4) Go to FILTER > BLUR > GUASSIAN BLUR set it anywhere between 8-20. I used 15 for this one.

5) Now select the rectangle marquee tool. (its right above the polygonal lasso tool in the pic above) And select a region in your blurred pic. Heres what i mean.

6) Once you have selected your region, go to EDIT > DEFINE PATTERN 7) Now lets go back to the white box thing we made earlier. Select the white cut up box and go to EDIT > FILL a box will pop up, make sure its set to this.

8) It should look something similiar to this. You may notice that there are some lines that stand out, becuase of overlapping. We want to get rid of these so with the box thing selected go to FILTER > BLUR> GAUSSIAN BLUR and set it to about 5-15.

9) Now time for the layer effects.
