Here might be how the masters at Mac may have created the Mac theme. This is how I created it anyways.
We'll begin this tutorial, by creating a new canvas 1 x 3 pixels then using the "Pencil Tool" pencil in the following. Then, go to the main menu and select "Edit" then "Define Pattern" Give it it a name and go to the next step.
Create a new canvas and fill with the pattern you previously made. Next, using the "Rounded Rectangle Tool" set at 5 pixels, with the color e9e9e9, draw the shape illustrated below.
Now that you have your shape, right click on the shape layer and select, "Blending Options...". Now click on "Inner Shadow".
Do not click OK yet... still more to do.
Now click on "Outer Glow".
Do not click OK yet... still more to do.
Now click on "Gradient Overlay".
You may now click OK.
You should now have the following:
Now "Ctrl" click the layer to create a selection around it and create a new layer. Now select the "Rectangle Marquee Tool" and while holding the "Alt" key in on your keyboard, minus the lower half of the selection and fill with the color f1f1f1.
You should now have the following:
Duplicate the button and move to their appropriate spots as I have done below.
Now select the "Rectangle Tool" with 78b3f7 as the shapes color, draw out the following blue shape.
Now that you have your rectangle, you can now right click on the layer and select, "Blending Options...". Now click on "Inner Shadow".
Do not click OK yet... still more to do.
Now click on "Stroke".
You may now click OK.
You should now have the following:
Draw yet another rectangle using the "Rectangle Tool" with a0cfff as the shapes color, draw out the following light blue shape.
The Results!!!
I've added some text and the famous Mac Logo to finish it off. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
