Smooth Orange Button


1. New Document

Create a new document size 75 x 18

2. Color and fill

Set the foreground color to #FCB102 and fill the background layer

3. Dodge tool

Get the dodge tool out

And set these options

Now hold shift outside of your document click then drag across to the other side, only once

Lower the size of the brush to 16 then do that again a bit lower than the last line

4. Again with the dodge tool

Dodge the bottom of the canvas now taking note to hold shift so it's in a straight line

Ok now just a little bit more here and there to make it look better :)

Lower the opacity of the brush as to not over due it

5. New layer and strokes

Make a new layer and select the whole canvas (ctrl+a) Then right click the selection and goto Stroke, use these options:

Now again on the same layer with these options:

6. Layer mode and opacity

Set the layer mode to Soft Light and lower the opacity to 95%

7. Text

To finish you can add text, I used Tahoma 11px no Anti Aliasing, with a 1 px stroke color: #CF8115
