Tenticle Background


This is a little advanced at some points

1. Make a new Document 1024x768.

2. Click the Bucket Tool (G) and make the entire layer white.

3. Now goto Filer>Texture>Patchwork. Make the square size 4 and the relief 8.

4. Now its time to make the Tenticles. First create a new layer. Select The Polygonal Lasso tool, and make sort of a diagnol Triangle shape Like this:

Notice i cropped the image to make it viewable

5. Now select a color, i choosed (00FF12) a light green color. Fill the triangle by using the paint bucket tool.

6. Now deselect the Layer by pressing Ctrl - D.

7. Now goto Filter>Distort Shear. Play with changing the images shape and legnth, and here is what i came up with:

8. Now you almost have a nice looking tenticle. Now lets make it look real nice by changing its looks. Set your colors to 00FF12 and 0E5500, and goto Layer>Layer Style>Blending Options. First set a 1 pixel black stroke, then select: drop shadow, outer glow, inner glow, and gradient overlay. Right click gradient overlay and make it look like this:

9. Now its complete! After lots of testing and work here is what i came up with:
