Website Header

Introduction
Make them nice and trendy headers, to make any layout look good.

Step 1
First, make a blacnk document of 500x500 pixels, make a new layer, select your Rectangle Marquee Tool, and make a Rectangle, make it your size of a header. I made it 376x96 pixels. but you don't have to use the same size. Once you've done that select your rectangle header, and click CTRL on it, in the layers palette. If you already have, then move on, go to {Layer » Layer Style » Blending Options » Stroke}. And use these settings:

Now were going to add a soft bevel to it. Go to Bevel And Emboss, and enter these settings:

You should have something that looks like this:

Step 2
We are now going to give it a nice little text. Make the text where ever you want and you could also use this color #747474. But make it look like this:

Step 3
Now to add the best bit, making it look proffetional and trendy. Make a new layer, and make a selection inside your header, and make the background #CAE358, this is a slight green/yellow colour. You should have something that looks like this, if so move on..

Step 4
Now to make it have a great nice little pointy end on it, like most trendy header do. Select your Polygonol Lasso Tool, make a selection and make it look like a pointy end of a knife.

HINT: To make straight lines always hold down SHIFT.

Thats if you have just about done it. All you need now is a nice layout, and add it on to there..
