Navigation Box


1. Open a new image 400x400 and have the background transparent. Make two guides by going View > New Guide.

Guide 1: 200px Vertical
Guide 2: 200px Horizontal

2. Get out the Rounded Rectangle Tool and make a shape in the center of the image, this is what the guides is for.

3. Open the blending options menu and use these settings:

4. Make a new layer and select the top of the box. Fill it with white, set the fill to 0% and now open the blending options menu and use these settings:

5. Make a new layer and select the top of the box. Fill it with a nice pattern/scanline pattern or anything you like. I'm going to use small dots.

6. Open the Blending Options menu for the pattern layer and use these settings:

7. Write a text saving Navigation or.:Navigation:. or anything you like. I prefer to use a pixel font.

8. Write all the navigations you're going to have and then make a new layer.

9. Get out the Rectangular Marquee Tool and make small selections around every navigation.

10. Fill the selections with white on the new layer and now open the Blending options menu. Use these settings:

Now you are done!
