Today we will talk about Paper style in Web design. Usually designers use this style to create information and news portals. If you have a lot of information on your site (and if it is a difficult task to combine this content), you should choose a paper style.
Web Design Printed Paper Style creates an impression that visitor is reading a magazine, newspaper, or a pile of documents. This style is often regarded as a 'back to natural' style in the course of web design.
Paper style takes inspiration from traditional media such as paper and cardboard. Using scans and images of paper provides an informal, cut-and-paste collage feeling, giving the site more of a personal and hand-crafted image - quite opposite to the clean and shiny trend of other web design styles. Old paper or torn cardboard is often used as a page background as well as elements of navigation bar or content areas.
I was always sure that paper textures really add something special to a website design - especially if it is done right. There are some rules to create Paper Style design. I have tried to collect them :)
1. Site should have fixed size.
2. Website in Paper style should have2-4 columns
3. A header of Web site should be not big and contain a logo and menu of the site.
4. Feel free to use an interesting typography. Serif fonts are also chosen as the main typography to post the articles- it simplifies the perception.
5. Paper Style in Web design can combine elements of Retro, Grunge and Hand drawing styles.
6. Meanwhile, to make it sweet and natural, often also added illustrations that are often encountered around the paper, such as pencils, pens, paper-clip, pill-off notes, and so on.
So sit back, relax and get ready to check out some amazing paper made website designs. Look at examples and get inspired.
