In this tutorial you will learn how to morph shapes(tween) in Flash. This is a simple animation that changes one shape into another.
Step 1: Create a shape
Open a new document (file->new->flash document) or from the flash main page click new document.
Now click Modify->Document and change the dimensions like the screen shot below for better viewing.
Click the Text Tool and type in the word "Shape" anywhere on the screen. Use Arial font and 25 font size. You can change this through the properties menu at the bottom of your flash file.
Step 2: Breaking apart text
Now click the Black Pointer (Selection Tool) and make a box around "Shape".
Hold the Ctrl Button and click B on your keyboard. This will break apart the word into letters. You can also go to Modify->Break Apart. Repeat this process one more time. (Break Apart the "Shape" twice total, see image below)

Note: The end results will have little white dots around the shape.
Step 3: Frames & Shape Tween
Click frame 1 in the timeline.
Select the Shape tween in the properties menu
Now click frame 25 and hit F6 on your keyboard or right click and insert key frame. Your time line should look like this.
Use the black pointer like before and draw a box around the entire word "Shape". Then click delete on your keyboard. Make sure you still have frame 25 selected.
Type in the word "Tween" anywhere on the page, in any font or size. Still on frame 25.
Break Apart the word "Tween" twice like you did with the word "Shape" back in frame 1.
Now test your movie by holding the Ctrl button and hitting enter on your keyboard.
