Step 1

Start off by creating a new photoshop document.

Take the Rectangular Marquee Tool (M), hold down Shift key and draw a "square". See the picture below.

Create a new layer, take the Paint Bucket Tool (G) and paint the "square".

Then, choose Select > Modify > Contract, and in Contract Selection window under Contract By: set 2 and click ok. See the picture below.

After that press delete, and then Ctrl+D key to deselect.

Now, you get this:

Click on Add a layer style icon and choose Blending Options.

Then, choose Drop Shadow, and set the options from the picture below:

After that choose Inner Glow and set this options:

Create a new layer.

Take the Custom Shape Tool and under Shape choose Checkmark. Look at the pictures below!

Then, click on Fill pixels icon and draw a Checkmark like it is shown on the picture below.

After that, Click on Add a layer style icon and choose Blending Options (See step 5).

Click on Drop Shadow, and set the options from the picture below.

Then click on Bevel and Emboss and set this options:

Click on Contour and set this options:

Click on Color Overlay and set this options:
