Part 1 - Creating texture with brush strokes
Open the file in Photoshop that you have created with Wire Effect Tutorial

Hold Ctrl and click on the wire layer to load the selection of wire image. Select the wire layer and click on new adjustment layer button and select brightness and contrast.
Layer>New Adjustment Layer > Brightness/Contrast
Set brightness to 100 and leave contrast at 0.

You will end up with an image like below.

Now group the adjustment layer with wire.
Layer > Group with previous
Shortcut : Ctrl + G
Now Invert the adjustment layer.
Image > Adjust > Invert
Shortcut : Ctrl + I
Go to layer style of the adjustment layer. (which you grouped with wire)
I have used inner shadow effect. You can try other combinations later if you want. Values are ; distance:3 choke:5 size:1
Choose white
color for your foreground. Choose a brush and
create random strokes on your adjustment layer.

Different brushes have different effects.
Part 2 - Creating texture with path stroke
Click on the paths and retrieve your path on the screen.

Go to layers and select adjustment layer. Choose Pen tool.
Choose a brush , hit right click of the mouse button and select stroke path.

With different brush , you'll get different textures.

You can change the color of the wire with Hue/Saturation.
Image > Adjust > Hue/Saturation.
Shortcut : Ctrl + U
Click the colorize button to add color.
