I read in the forum some threads from people asking how to make icons (windows icons) but i did not appreciated the answers because they wasn't well explained or totally wrong (changing the extension of a gif file to .ico!!!).

Open a new document. I've chosen 600x100 px. Set the foregroundcolour to #9DAA97 and the backgroundcolour to #656D61 and grab Gradient Tool (linear). Pull a nearly vertical line on your document. Go to Layer > Layer Style > Pattern Overlay and choose some black 45* scanlines with Opacity=25%.

Open your image. I used 300 x 300 pixels.

Pick your foreground color, I used 72A2E4, and for the background, FFFFFF.
