With this tutorial, you will hopefully understand more about the options and tools capable of being used in 3DSM. If you haven't already, you may need these set of maps. Download them below and unzip them into your maps/Space folder.

7. We'll need to create another sphere now. Use these settings and placement as a reference.

8. Now, open up the Material Editor as before by pressing M. Follow these guidelines and for Diffuse Color, the map name is "Mix amount: Map #9 (CloudMap.jpg)."

9. Go to the Modifiers tab and select Displace once more. Use the settings below:

10. We are done with the moon now, so let's put this image in space. Go to Rendering>Environment.

11. Find the dropdown menu "Common Parameters" and under Background, click the button under Enviromental Map. Use the map highlighted in the box and make sure all the other settings are correct and exit the window.

12. Now all you have to do is Render by hitting F10. You're done with this tutorial but you may expand on the scene. I just added an Omni Light to simulate sunlight and here is my final render.
