3D Spikes in Photoshop


Step 1. File > New... >>

Width: 500 Pixels
Height: 500 Pixels
Mode: RGB Color
Contents: White

Step 2. Press D on your keyboard to reset your colours. Now fill in your background with black by clicking Ctrl + I. Then click on the Elliptical Marquee Tool and then press shift + drag your mouse to make a perfect circle.

Step 3. Then again click Ctrl + I to fill the area inside the circle White. Then unselect the Elliptical Marquee.

Step 4. Go to Filter > Stylize > Extrude and use the settings:

Type: Pyramids
Size: 20 Pixels
Depth: 255 – Random

Step 5. Right now you should have some nice Black and White spices on your page. But now we had to colour it up but before we go that were going to have to again click Ctrl + I.

Step 6. Now we're going to colour them up by going to Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation and use these settings.

Edit: Master
Hue: 195
Saturation: 55
Lightness: 0
Colorize: ON
