Step 1: Open up a new document in photoshop. Make the size 800 by 600, so that way we have some room to work in. Once you have done so, make a new layer. You can make a new layer by pressing shift, ctrl and the letter "n" at the same time. Call the layer bg1.
Step 2: Once you have your new layer its time to make some custom brushing. Start by going to windows and selecting brushes. A menu should appear that looks like this.
This is where we will create our own brushes. Since we are focusing on splats and those kind of brushing skills we can start on the brush presets option by selecting a brush thats a good size. I am going to use the 45 pixle brush, you can do otherwise if you want. Now we can go in order with each option. Start with "Brush Tip Shape". Add the following data.
The next option is the "Shape Dynamics."
"Scattering"
"Other Dynamics"
Now that you have this you also have to select the wet edges, airbrush, and smoothing options.
There you go, you have your bubbly brush. Want to see the effect? Try using it in a open document. This is what I got.
If you would like to save your brush you can hit the new brush button at the bottom of the page, and there you go. So not only do you know now how to make your own bubbly brushes, you can make any brushes now using different effects, and you can even save them and use them later.
