Many times you could find yourself in a situation when you found a nice object for your picture but the background is not perfect. The object you can cut out but then you'll need a new background for it. Where to find it or how to create? In answer to the second question is the tutorial we offer. A very quick and simple way to make a new background is to use the original one but processed with one of Photoshop filters. Here we only used the group of blur filters.
The procedure is simple and the same for all tipes of filters you use:
1. Open your image and create background copy layer.
2. Copy the background once more. On the top layer make a cutout of your image. In the example I used Photoshop Extract Filter. You can also create a mask or use Lasso tool and delete the remaining background.
3. Click on the second layer under the top one and go to Filters > Blur > one of the blur filters you'll see in the results below.
4. Merge visible layers.
5. Use Image > Adjustments > Levels to correct the colors and contrast.
Box blur
Motion blur
Radial blur, spin mode
Radial blur zoom mode
Use the result as it they are or add other effects, images, and text to create what you want.
